RIP Roebling?
We interrupt the stream of non-personal tumblr entries to bring you this unfortunate update. So. Because I am a klutz, I knocked a tumbler of tea onto Roebling, my laptop. DARPA Network Challenge →
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency sent up 10 moored red weather balloons across the lower 48 states. The challenge was to locate them all. The first individual (representing a team) to send in the locations of all 10 would win $40,000. The balloons went up at 10 am today. Within nine hours, there was a winning team. Unsurprisingly, they came from MIT.
